MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 27, 2001 <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb`OLU'I']ON NO. 211(11-G-133 -CALLING FOR A b"PECIAI. MEETING <br />TO CONSIDER THE AMENDMENT TO TILE 137AGINI DEVELOPMENT <br />AGREEMENT, IF DETERMINED NECESSARY, AT A DATE AND TIME <br />TO 13E DETERMINED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, Montour, LaValle, P'ahey, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GOOSE The City Administrator reported that he has asked Dr. Cooper of the <br />CONTROL University of Minnesota to survey the number of geese in the City, with that <br />information to be presented to the Council for action on a goose control <br />contract for 2001. However, due to a miscommunication, the geese were <br />rounded up on Round Lake. There were several residents of the area upset <br />with the round up of these geese. The City Administrator reported that he <br />contacted Dr. Cooper who indicated that a pair of geese can be placed at <br />Round Lake. <br />Fahey pointed out that the Council's intention is to control the geese in the <br />City, not totally eliminate them. Therefore, he agreed that a pair should be <br />reintroduced to Round Lake. Fahey apologized for the aggressive approach <br />that was taken and indicated that closer attention would be paid to this situation <br />in the future. <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI_UT1ON N0. 21101-G-134 -APPROVING THE CONTRACT WITH <br />THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA FOR GOOSE CONTROL AS <br />RECOMMENDED 13Y THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Montour, Fahey, Scalze, LaValle, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LITTLE "The City Administrator recommended tabling action on calling for the <br />CANADA ROAD Little Canada Road assessment hearing until he has an opportunity to <br />ASSESSMENT review project costs in more detail with the City Engineer. <br />BEARING <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-6-135 - TA7377NG AC77ON ON CALLING FOR <br />THE I_7TT7_E CANADA ROAD ASSESSMENT HEARING AT THIS TIME <br />is <br />
