MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 5, 2000 CDBG/HOME FUNDS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI,UTIONNO. 2000-I-9 -APPROVING THE RAMSEY COUNTY CD73G/HOME FUNDS PRIORITY RANKING AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITYADMINISTRATOR The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. SUMP PUMP The Public Works Director recommended that the Council award the low INSPECTION bid submitted by Howard R. Green Company for completion of the City's CONTRACT sump pump inspection program. The City Administrator pointed out that the Water and Sewer Capital Replacement Account will need to be adjusted by $12,000 to cover the cost of completing this program. Council discussed the fact that the sump pump inspection program should result in less discharge of surface water into the sanitary sewer system. It was noted that the City pays treatment costs for water running through the sanitary sewers, thus eliminating the surface water will reduce the City's costs. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RE.SOI.UTIONNO. 2000-I-IO-APPROVING THE CONTRACT WITH HOWARD R GREEN COMPANY FOR SUMP PUMP INSPECTION AS RECOMMENDED BY THE PU73LIC WORKS DIRECTOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHAI F OF THE CITY The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze.
