MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 9, 2000 <br />PROPOSED The City Administrator reported that Metro Transit is proposing a <br />TRANSIT temporary transit hub along First Bank Drive that would accommodate <br />HUB six buses at one time. The site would ultimately be replaced by a <br />permanent hub to be located at the Public Works property on the <br />southwest intersection of Rice Street and I-694. <br />It was noted that the proposal has not been discussed with the owners of <br />the Market Place Shopping Center. The Council discussed the proposal <br />and felt that Metro Transit should hold a neighborhood meeting to present <br />this proposal to the public. After the results of that meeting, the City <br />Council would be prepared to act on their request. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTIONNO. Z00(I-2-46-ADVISING METRO TRANSIT THAT <br />THE CITY IS INTERESTED IN EXPLORING THE TEMPORARY <br />TRANSIT HU73, HOWEVER, REQUESTING THAT METRO <br />TRANSIT FIRS"T HOLD A NEIGH73ORHOOD MEETING ON THIS <br />PROPOSAL. TO O13TAIN TILE INPUT OF THE GENERAL. PUBLIC <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RICE/LITTLE The City Administrator reviewed the details of the proposed listing <br />CANADA agreement for the City's property at the northeast corner of Rice Street <br />ROAD and Little Canada Road. <br />REDEVELOP- <br />M. ENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-2-47-AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINLS"TRATOR TO ENTER INTO A LISTING AGREEMENT <br />FOR THE CITYPROPERTYAT THENORTHEA.S`T CORNER OF <br />RICE STREET AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD UNDER THE TERMS <br />AND CONDITIONS AS REPORTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Fahey, Pedersen, Scalze, Morelan. <br />Nays (0).
