MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 23, 20 00 <br />ZONING Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider the Zoning Ordinance <br />ORDINANCE Amendment relative to side yard setback encroachments. It was noted that <br />AMENDMENT - the Planning Commission has recommended approval of the amendment. <br />SIDE YARD <br />SETBACK There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />ENCROACHMEN T this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by Fahey, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br />ORDINANCE NO. 505 -AMENDING SECTIONS 902 AND 903.030 <br />OF THE LITTLE CANADA CITY CODE, KNOWN AS THE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE I3Y PROVIDING FOR ENCROACHMENTS INTO THE <br />REQUIRED YARD SET73ACKS FOR CERTAIN GRADE L EVEL <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GAMBLING The Council reviewed the applications for Gambling License as well as <br />LICENSE Premises Permits at Brady's on Rice Street and the Little Canada Bingo <br />RENEWAL - Hall for Millennium Charity Plus for the license period April 1, 2000 <br />MILLENNIUM through March 31, 2002. City staff reported that all application materials <br />CHARITY are in order, Sheriffls Department background checks are satisfactory, and <br />PLUS Millennium Charity Plus has paid all necessary fees. <br />Mayor Fahey pointed out the issues related to the amount of Combined <br />Receipts Tax paid by the charity, and the fact that if Brady's and the <br />Bingo Hall were two sepa~~ate sites, the amount of that tax would be <br />reduced. Fahey suggested that the charity work on this issue over the <br />course of the next two years and that it may be a consideration at the time <br />of renewal in 2002. <br />Ivlr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTIONNO. 2000-2-47 -APPROVING THERENEWAI.
