MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 22, 2000 <br />workshop be scheduled prior to the April 5°i goal setting session at which <br />time the Council could review the conceptual plans for the Little Canada <br />Road improvement. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RE.SOI. UTION NO. 2000-3-75 -CALLING FOR A WORKSHOP <br />MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, APRII. S, 2000, AT 3:30 P.M. TO <br />REVIEW CONCEPTUAI. PLANS FOR THE L ITTI E CANADA <br />ROAD IMPROVEMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Scalze, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNTRY The City Engineer presented plans and specifications for aright-turn <br />DRIVE lane on Country Drive at Little Canada Road. There is adequate <br />RIGHT-TURN right-of--way for the turn lane; however, temporary waiver of trespass <br />LANE will be needed in order to do the grading work necessary to blend the <br />construction in with the road. <br />Morelan asked if there would be an assessment associated with this <br />improvement. The City Administrator recommended no assessment and <br />pointed out that it would be difficult to prove benefits received for this <br />project. He noted that the improvement of Country Drive was assessed <br />when it was done a few years ago. The addition of the right-turn lane <br />would be paid from State Aid funds. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2000-3-76 -APPROVING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONb` FOR THE COUNTRY DRIVE RIGHT-TURN <br />LANE PRO.IECT AND A UTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR 737DS FOR THIS IMPROVEMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, LaValle, Scalze. <br />Nays (0).
