MINUTT;S CITY COUNCIL APRIL 26, 2000 Jim Klasness, Preferred Builders, agreed that two feet was not enough area toinstall awrap-around deck on the house. That will have an impact on the owners enjoyment of the house, but a deck is something that is not necessary. The City Administrator pointed out that increasing the easement width from 15 feet to 20 feet only moves the easement about 1 '/z feet closer to the house. The rest of the additional easement comes from the north side. Aleks Klidzejs indicated that if it is necessary to have a 20-foot easement, he would offer that 15 feet come from the Mitchell property and the additional 5 feet come from his property. The 5-foot easement area from his property, however, should be limited to construction needs should repairs be necessary. The vehicular access portion of the easement would be limited to the 15 feet on the Mitchell property. Fahey stated that he was not adverse to this suggestion provided there was no cost to the City for acquiring the easement. Fahey suggested that City staff look at the options for the easements, both for acquiring the additional easement from the Klidzejs property as well as moving the 45- foot radius cul-de-sac easement so that it would provide access for the I{lidzejs property to Mitchell Trail. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment further on this matter. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Pedersen, the public hearing was closed. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 2000-4-700 - '!'A737.INC ACTION ON TILE PROPERTY DIVISION FOR 3240 TWIN LAKE 120AD AND IN,S~TRUCTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO PURSUE EASEMENT OPTIONS FOR 130TH THE SANITARY SEWER EASEMENT AS WELL A.S THE MITCHELL TRA77 CUL-DE-SAC" EASEMENT AND 73RTNC A RECOMMENDATION 73ACK TO THE CITY COUNCIL, The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
