MINUTES <br />CITY COiTNCIL <br />APRIL 26, 2000 <br />PRELIMINARY Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider a Preliminary and <br />& rINAL PLAT Final Plat for the Market Place Shopping Center. The Planning <br />MARKET PLACE Commission recommended approval of the plat. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Fahey noted that this plat has previously been reviewed and approved by <br />the Council. The new plat contains some minor modifications from what <br />was previously approved. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />REb'OI,UTION NO. 2000-4-107 -APPROVING THE PRELIMINARY <br />AND FINAL. PLAT FOR THE MARKET PLACE SHOPPING <br />CENTER AS SUBMITTED SUB.IECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />"the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Pahey. <br />Nays(0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CUP P'OR Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider an application for <br />BILLIARD a Conditional Use Permit to allow a billiard hall as a commercial <br />HALL - recreational use in a PUD District as requested by Michael Melloy. <br />MICHAEL It was noted that the Planning Commission has recommended approval <br />MELLOY of the CUP. <br />Mr. Melloy reported that given that the businesses at the Market Place <br />Shopping Center are closed by midnight, he is requesting that he be <br />allowed to remain open until that time. I-Iowever, once his business has <br />proven itself, he may come back to the City and request extended hours of <br />operation. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />
