The Director indicated, however, That he would look at the site <br />lines to see if some improvements could be made as well as whether <br />additional signage was needed. <br />Roycraft indicated that he spoke with a Public Works employee who <br />indicated that they would him the bushes and trees al the intersection to <br />improve visibility. <br />Fahey suggested that perhaps larger stop signs may be a solution. <br />Pedersen pointed out the all-way stop signs at Jackson Street and Lake <br />Street and questioned the consistency of retaining an all-way stop at this <br />intersection and not installing this signage at LaBore Road and Arcade <br />Street. <br />Scalze felt the situation was different since there was a pedestrian crossing <br />on Jackson Street for access to Nadeau Park. <br />Roycraft pointed out the numerous bicyclists and walkers on LaBore Road <br />and Arcade Street. He indicated that this was a busy area and there should <br />be appropriate traffic controls. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2000-6-155 -ACCEPTING THE PETITION FOR <br />FOUR-WAYSTOP AT LAHORE ROAD AND ARCADE STREET AND <br />DIRECTING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO STUDY THE <br />INTERSECTION AND DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE <br />SIGNACE NEEDED TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC <br />CONTROLS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Scal-re, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
