MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 13, 2000 <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI, UTION NO. 2000-9-214 -APPROVING THE TIF NOTE FOR <br />THE GOODYEAR PROJECT, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND <br />CITYADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE NOTE ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING THAT ISSUANCE OF THE <br />NOTE IS SU73.IECT TO SUBMISSION OF ALL APPROPRIATE <br />DOCUMENTATION AS REQUESTED EY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LITTLE The Public Works Director reported that the Little Canada Road project <br />CANADA ROAD is on schedule. He noted, however, that there have been difficulties with <br />IMPROVEMENT the project with relocation of utilities. He expressed appreciation to the <br />property owners in the area for their patience and understanding. The <br />Director reported that storm sewer was being installed, and subcutting of <br />the road will begin next week. He anticipated that if the weather holds <br />out, there will be new blacktop down the week of October 9`~'. <br />Morelan reported that he has heard concerns with dust control as well as <br />the contractor's starting time. The Director reported that the soils are very <br />sandy in this area. Therefore, dust control has been difficult. Efforts are <br />being made to keep dust under control. He further indicated that the <br />City's ordinance allows a start time of 7 a.m., and the contractor has been <br />complying with that start time. <br />PUBLIC The Council reviewed the quotes for the Public Works garage study. This <br />WORKS study will involve a review of the existing Public Works garage to <br />GARAGE determine improvements needed to ensure that the building meets all <br />STUDY codes. <br />The Public Works Director reported that Oertel Architects submitted the <br />low quote for the study in the amount of $4,750. He reported that <br />references have been checked, and are satisfactory. Therefore, the <br />Director recommended that the work be awarded to Oertel Architects. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOl.
