MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />APRIL 13, 2000 <br />curbing, and striping which will be completed by August 1, 2000. The <br />building shares a driveway with the Valento property as well as a gated <br />access. Therefore, the completion date for the blacktopping is proposed to <br />be different than the rest of the properties in Ryan Industrial Park. Mr. <br />Jacobsen has agreed to correct all other site issues by June 30"'. <br />The Zoning Administrator indicated that the Public Works Director has <br />raised an issue with the railroad ties around the mailbox and is <br />recommending that the ties be lined up with the mailbox so snow plows <br />will not hit them. <br />Mr. Jacobsen reported that he will comply with the recommendations of <br />City staff. <br />Mr. Carson recommended approval of the Conditional Use Permit for <br />outdoor storage for 3173 Spruce Street, Jacobsen Excavating, subject to <br />compliance with the recommendations of the Zoning Administrator and <br />the Public Works Director. <br />Motion seconded by Duray. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />CUP - Tom Mikrot, Mikrot Roofing, appeared before the Commission requesting <br />221-225 RYAN approval of a Conditional Use Permit for outdoor storage so that he can <br />DRIVE - operate a roofing company from 221-225 Ryan Drive. Mikrot reported <br />MIKROT that there are currently three tenants in the building in addition the roofing <br />ROOFING company. Mikrot reported that one of the tenants has been a problem and <br /> will be vacating the building. He also indicated that the property will be <br /> cleaned up by the weekend. Mikrot reported that he has some flatbed <br /> trailers on the property which are used for transporting materials to job <br /> sites. Mikrot also indicated that he would comply with the <br /> recommendations of the City Planner. <br />Roger Stanke, adjacent property owner, asked if Mikrot would be required <br />to screen his property. Stanke indicated that he wanted to ensure that <br />property owners are being treated consistently. Stanke also pointed out <br />that he had to get rid of the trailers that were being stored on his property, <br />and questioned whether the flatbed trailers on the Mikrot property would <br />be moved. He also indicated that these trailers are being stored closer than <br />40 feet from the road. Stanke asked if the use proposed by Mikrot was <br />acceptable in the PUD District. <br />
