Regular Meeting _ ,January 4.,1955 The next petition scheduled for hearing was a petition to rezone certain lots in Terrace Heights Addition on the corner of Rice Street and Demont Road, being the Southeast corner of that intersection. The Clerk announced that the notice of this hearing had been properly posted as required by the zoning laws and no per- sons appeared either for or against, the petition. The petition which was on file had been signed by all interested persons living nearby. Upon motion by Loef'fier, seconded by Nadeau, it was "RESOLVED, That the following described pro- perty be and is hereby rezoned from the classifi- cation of "A Residence." to the classification of "Business": Lots 1, 2, 3, i~, 5,26, 2`7, 28, 29 and 30 in Block 2, Terrace Heights, Ramsey County, Minnesota; and the Clerk is hereby instructed to notify the county authorities of this zoning change so it will be properly recorded." Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 The resdution was adopted. The AQayor stated that, the next order of business was the consideration of salaries for the Mayor and Council pursuant. to the authorization granted by the voters in the election of December 7, 1954.. Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Nadeau, it was "}2ESOL.VED, That the Mayor's salary be and is hereby established at Thirty-five Dollars (~~35,00) per month, said schedule to continue in effect, until changed by future Council action." Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 The resolution was adopted. Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Melancon, it was "RESOLVED, That the salaries of the three trus- tees be and is hereby established at Twenty-rive Dollars ($~>25.00) per month for each trustee, said salary schedule to remain in effect until future action by the Council."
