Regular Meeting _ ,January 4.,1955 <br />The next petition scheduled for hearing was a petition <br />to rezone certain lots in Terrace Heights Addition on the corner <br />of Rice Street and Demont Road, being the Southeast corner of that <br />intersection. The Clerk announced that the notice of this hearing <br />had been properly posted as required by the zoning laws and no per- <br />sons appeared either for or against, the petition. The petition which <br />was on file had been signed by all interested persons living nearby. <br />Upon motion by Loef'fier, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the following described pro- <br />perty be and is hereby rezoned from the classifi- <br />cation of "A Residence." to the classification of <br />"Business": <br />Lots 1, 2, 3, i~, 5,26, 2`7, 28, 29 and <br />30 in Block 2, Terrace Heights, Ramsey <br />County, Minnesota; <br />and the Clerk is hereby instructed to notify the <br />county authorities of this zoning change so it <br />will be properly recorded." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resdution was adopted. <br />The AQayor stated that, the next order of business was the <br />consideration of salaries for the Mayor and Council pursuant. to the <br />authorization granted by the voters in the election of December 7, 1954.. <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Nadeau, it was <br />"}2ESOL.VED, That the Mayor's salary be and is <br />hereby established at Thirty-five Dollars (~~35,00) <br />per month, said schedule to continue in effect, <br />until changed by future Council action." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Melancon, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the salaries of the three trus- <br />tees be and is hereby established at Twenty-rive <br />Dollars ($~>25.00) per month for each trustee, said <br />salary schedule to remain in effect until future <br />action by the Council." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />- 6 - <br />
