Regular Meeting - June 7, 1955 <br />"That upon delivery of said bond in form ap- <br />proved by the Village Attorney, and upon execution <br />of the said Undertaking Agreement, with delivery of <br />a copy thereof to the Village of Little Canada, the <br />Village, hereby assurnes responsibility to the Veterans <br />Administration for construction, surfacing and main- <br />taining of the roads hereinbefore specified within <br />Dawson's Suburban Acres and that the Village will not <br />assess individual lot owners whose lots abut upon said <br />streets for the costs of said improvement. <br />"And further that the Village Clerk shall there <br />forthvrith certify a copy of this Resolution and send a <br />letter directed to the Minneapolis office of the Veter- <br />ans Adrinistration giving such assurances." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Robert Miliett~ member of the Village Board of Health, <br />gave a report to the Council and discussed two or three places which <br />the Board had been called upon. to inspect. <br />Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, 'that the Clerk be and is hereby au- <br />thorized to purchase twv (2) metal badges for the <br />purpose of identifying the Village Health Officers, <br />Mr. Clem Bougie and ItQr. Robert Miliette." <br />Ayes - y Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Minnesota Dairy Associa- <br />tion requesting that the Mayor of the Village proclaim the month of <br />June as Dairy Month. The letter was received for filing and the Mayor <br />executed the proclamation and forwarded it to the Dairy Association. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Village Council hereby en- <br />dorses Miss Charlotte Broulet, the daughter of Mr. <br />anti Mrs. Charles H. Broulet, as candidate for Queen <br />of the Rice Street Carnival." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Vitale, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Cierlc be and is hereby au- <br />thorized to transfer the sum of Three Thousand and <br />- 3 - <br />
