Regular Meeting -February 12, 1958 <br />"WHEREAS, The term 'said plans and specifications' se herein- <br />after used in the body of this resolution shall be deemed and in- <br />tended to mean, refer to, and incorporate the plans and specifica- <br />tions as in the foregoing recitals particularly identified and <br />describedo <br />"NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED, That said plans and specifica- <br />tions for the improvement of Trunk Highway Number-390 within the <br />limits of the Village of Little Canada be and hereby are approved, <br />"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the elevations and grades as <br />shown in said plans and specifications be and they are hereby ap- <br />proved and consent is hereby given to any and all changes in <br />grade occasioned by the 'construction of said Trunk Highway Number <br />390 in accordance with said plans and specifications, with sati~- <br />factory reflectorized barricade on East side of Centerville Road <br />at Gervais Creek Road," <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Michael Stszeyneke, Weed Inspector, requested the Village to procure <br />insurance to protect the Village against any damage caused to crops or other cul- <br />tivated vegetation or lawns which might be accidentally injured by weed spray or <br />any other damage incidental to the spraying of weeds with destructive chemicals, <br />The Clerk was instructed to check into this type of insurance. <br />The Clerk read a letter from State Auditor King concerning distribution <br />of cigaret and liquor taxes in Ramsey County and explaining that thin distribution <br />is being held up pending determination of the lawsuit between the City of White <br />Bear and White Bear Township. <br />The Clerk read a letter from the Railroad and Warehouse Commission which <br />was a legal notice to the effect that the County's petition for installation of <br />railroad warning signals at the Soo Line Railroad and Little Canada Road will be <br />heard by the Railroad and Warehouse Commission on March 18, 1958 at 9:30 A,M. at <br />the State Office Building, <br />Residents of the area in the vicinity of Third Street and McMenemy Road <br />requested that an arc light be installed at Third Street and McMenemy Road. It <br />was pointed out that McMenemy is a county road and before an arc light can be in- <br />stalled, the matter would have to have the approval of the Board of County Commis- <br />sioners. <br />Upon motion by Nadeau, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, That the Village does hereby approve the instal- <br />lation of an arc light at Third Street and McMenemy Road and that <br />the installation of same be recommended to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. The Clerk is hereby instructed to forward infor- <br />mation and request concerning this arc light to the Board of County <br />Commissioners." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />- 2 - <br />
