Regular Meeting - August 13, 1958 <br />"NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED That said Village of Little Canada <br />does hereby agree and covenant that it will never permit or suffer, <br />within its corporate limits, any encroachment of any kind whatso- <br />ever, including curb gas pumps and gas stations, billboards or <br />other structures of any kind whatsoever, upon the right of way oP <br />Trunk Highway Number 118 renumbered as Truntc Highway Number 36 <br />and to the above end said Village of Little Canada hereby agrees <br />that it will never issue any license, permit, or grant, or give <br />any leave or liberty or any other consent of whatever form for the <br />construction or maintenance of any encroachment whatsoever, includ- <br />ing curb gas pumps and gas stations, billboards or other structures <br />of any kind whatsoever, upon said right oP way; and that Bald Vil- <br />lage of Little Canada will cooperate insofar as possible to eliminate <br />existing encroachments constituting traffic hazards and will further <br />take any necessary action to eliminate any encroachment that may <br />hereafter exist on said trunk highway right of way; and <br />°BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That said Village of Little Canada <br />does hereby agree to require the parking of all vehicles on said <br />trunk highway to be parallel with the curb and at least twenty (20) <br />feet from any cross walks on all public streets intersecting said <br />trunk highway within the corporate limits of said Village of Little <br />Canada." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Upon motion by Loeffler, seconded by Spooner, the following resolution <br />was submitted: <br />"WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Highways has prepared plans and <br />specifications for the improvement of a part of Trunk Highway No. 118, <br />renumbered Trunk Highway. Number 36 within the corporate limits of <br />the Village of Little Canada from 0.4 mile east of Rice Street to <br />0.65 mile east of Rice Street; and <br />"WHEREAS Said plans are on file in the office of the Department <br />of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled and iden- <br />tified as State Project No. 6212-65 (T,H. 36=118); and <br />"WHEREAS, Said specifications are on file in the office of the <br />Department of Highways, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled, <br />and identified as S.P. 6212-65 (T.H. 36=Z18) Minnesota U UG 092-1 (10); <br />S.P. 6280-05 (T,H, 35x390) Minnesota IG 035-2 (24) 116, and S.P. 6280-03, <br />6280-04, 6280-07, 6280-10, 6280-15, 6280-16, 6280-18 (35_390), Minnesota <br />I 035-2 (9) 116, which, together with Minnesota Department of Highways <br />Specifications for Highway Construction, dated July 1, 1947, and Supple- <br />ment No. 1 to the Minnesota Department of Highways Specifications for <br />Highway Construction, effective April 15, 1953, on file in the office <br />of the Commissioner of Highways, constitute the specifications for said <br />improvement of Trunk Highway Number 118, renumbered as Trunk Highway <br />Number 36; and <br />"WHEREAS Copies of said plans and specifications as so marked, <br />labeled, and identified axe also on Pile in the office of the Clerk; <br />and <br />5 - <br />
