Ray Wilson appeared in response to questions about the roads i.n <br />Wilson's Addition. The Village Engineer explained the road conditions to the <br />Council and asked the Councilmen to meet with him and personally inspect all of the <br />streets in Wilson's Addition on Sstuxday morning, September 1']th. `1'he Village <br />Engineer also requested that the Council at the same time inspect County Road B»2 <br />so that the vrork done on that street could be accepted> Without any formal action, <br />the Council. agreed to meet with Mr. Carley on Saturday, September lath, <br />The Village Engineer recommended that the Villa{>e of Little Canada, revise <br />i.ts ordinance pertaining 'to street standards and street constructionspecifications <br />so as to require boulevard treatment and possibly curbing since such construction <br />specifications would go far to eliminate the storm vrater damage vrhich usually occurs <br />in a newly graded area. <br />Upon motion by Loe£f'ler, seconded by Coenen, it was <br />RESOLVED, `t'hat the Village Attorney he instructed, and hereby is, to <br />prepare amendments to the street construction standards and specifications. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />Upon motion. by Vitale, seconded. by Spooner, it was <br />RESOLVED, '.Phat the assessment hearing for the improvement of County Road !3-2, <br />also known as Flower Street, be prepared by 'the engineer and that the date for hearing <br />£or assessment roll. be set for October 12th, 1960, with instructions to the Clerk <br />that the notification of said hearing is to be made by registered mail to each <br />property owner, including the School Distri.et and. the Continental I3aki.ng Company. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />7~layor Me].ancon raised the question of the condition of Eli Road.. `1'he <br />Village attorney stated that he had talked vrith the I~layor about this problem and <br />felt that the highway Department and the Water Department, or both, should pay some- <br />thing for the cost of repairing Eli Road since it was used as a detour nearly all <br />summer. <br />Upon motion by l,oef'f7.er, seconded by Spooner, it eras <br />RESOLVF,'D, That the Village Attorney be, and is hereby, instructed to <br />contact the Highway Department and the Water Departrent requesting that they provide <br />for the repair of Pali ?toad since it was used very heavily for detours which became <br />necessary because of the highvray construction and water. main construction. <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />-2- <br />
