George Andersons whose property is 7.ocated on County koad.732_ near Arcade <br />Streets stated that the pr9.vate drivewaysin his area are bea.ng greatly damaged by <br />rain water and stated that the people themselves have heretofore paid. for maintain- <br />ing these driveways. lie asked if the Council could arrange 'to fill up the ruts <br />and blade and oil these drives since they are generally used by a nwnber of res:i- <br />dentsy all. of whom have high value property. 1Be pointed out that these driveways <br />have been customarily included in the snovr removal operation of the Village. This <br />matter was referred to the Village Attorney for opinion as 'to whether the Village <br />13oad Supervisor could do this vrork and if the attorney advises that it can be doney <br />h.e is to so advise Mr. Louis Jesperseny the koad Supervisor. <br />The fl4ayor read. a letter from Mr. Paul. Nachtsheim, concerning damage to trees <br />on hi.s property which Mr. Nachtsheim alleges was caused by 2yq-D weed spray applied <br />to vreeds along the street right-of-way by the Village i'Jeed Inspector. 'Phe Clerk <br />xead a letter from the State Agricultural Department which is a copy of the letter <br />sent by that department to Pdr, Nachtsheim, as a, report on the inspection that the <br />department experts made to determine the cause of the damage to the said trees. <br />Both letters vrere referred. to the Village Attorney for study and the attorney was <br />instructed to reply to R4r. Nachtsheim's claim. <br />The Clerlt read a letter from the State of 114innesota Department of Conservat9.ony <br />which letter was placed on file. <br />One o.f the Councilmen brought up the question as to vrhether. the Council could <br />oil. an easement road vrhi.ch is used by a number of truck farmers as a means of access <br />i;o their f:i.elds. 'Phis item was also .referred to the Village Attorney with instructions <br />to notify the koad Supervisor as to whether this work could be done. <br />The Village Attorney reported that relatS.ves o.f Mr. It4ichuky who receni;ly died, <br />had called hi.m in.quiri_ng about the status of the building in vrh9.eh Mr. M:ichuk had <br />been. living prior to his death.
