MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
AUGUST 27, 2008
ZONING &
SUBDIVISION
CODE
The City AdminisU•ator reviewed the concerns raised in the July 9, 2008
letter from a nearby property owner relative to traffic, visibility, etc. He
noted that during construction of the new home there are times there may
be periodic traffic conflicts. However, City Codes will have to be
complied with during the consri•uction process. The Adminisriator
indicated that once the house is completed, the issue of on-street parking
can be evaluated.
There was no one else present wishing to comment on this matter.
Upon motion be Allan, seconded by Keis, the public hearing was closed.
Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO.2008-8-200 -APPROVING THE PROPERTY
DIVISION SUBDIVIDING SINGLE-FAMILY PROPERTIES AT 580
AND 588 EAST COUNTY RDAD B-2 INTO THREE SINGLE-
FAMILYRESIDENTIAL LOTS, BASED ON THE REVISED SITE
PLAN SUBMITTED INCREASING LOT SIZE, SUBJECT TO
COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY
PLANNER AND THE CITY ENGINEER
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider adoption of Amendments
to the City's Zoning Code and Subdivision Code.
The City Planner reported that the Planning Commission has reviewed the
proposed amendments and made some additional recommendations for
changes. The Planner outlined these changes in detail as are outlined in
his email dated August 20, 2008. The Council was accepting of these
changes except for the recommendation to include a stockpile height
maximum in the I-2 Zoning District. It was noted that only the Fra-Dor
property is zoned I-2 and this business has an Interim Use Permit for its
stockpiling and recycling operation. The Council felt it would be more
appropriate to address specific conditions or limitations as part of the
Interim Use Permit Agreement.
The City Planner noted the City Attorney's August 26, 2008 report
commenting on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Code.
