MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 2008 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-9-218 -CANCELLING THE DECEMBER <br />10 AND 24, 2008 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETINGS, AND CALLING <br />A COUNCIL MEETING FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2008 AT <br />7:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-9-219 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 22, 2008 AT 7:30 P.M. TO CONSIDER <br />ADOPTION OF THE 2009 BUDGET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NOVEMBER 26, Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />2008 <br />COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2008-9-220-CANCELLING THE NOVEMBER <br />MEETING 26, 2008 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND RESCHEDULING IT <br />TO MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2008 AT 7:30 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FULL-TIME The City Administrator recommended that the part-time Fire Marshal <br />FIRE position be made afull-time position. He noted the recent retirement of <br />MARSHAL Duane Williams as Fire Marshal, and Jim Lee's assumption of those <br />duties. The Administrator also noted that the department had been staffed <br />with two part-time positions. Given the efficiencies that can be gained <br />through combining the two part-time positions as well as increasing <br />13 <br />
