He explained that Greenbrier Circle was originally constructed in 1974 and
Old County Road C was upgraded around the late 1970's and both roadways are deteriorated
beyond the point of a mill and overlay. He stated that the proposed improvements consist of
reconstructing both roadways and the addition of concrete curb and gutter, along with checking
water main gate valves and hydrants to replace bolts, sanitary sewer manhole adjustments and
infiltration and inflow repairs, storm sewer improvements and possible addition of rain gardens if
required. He reported that as a part of the reconstruction process, the pavement width will be
reduced from 29 feet wide to 26 feet wide measured face of curb to face of curb on Greenbrier
Street, and Old County Road C varies from 26'-28' wide and is proposed to be reconstructed to
26 feet wide. He noted that the street width reduction is recommended due to the low volume
nature of the roadways and it provides many long-tenn cost saving benefits.
