Page 6
Parks & Public Works Employees:
• Public Works Crews will be split up between the Public Works Shop and the Old Fire Hall.
o All employees will report to their assigned place of work for their assigned shift
o The Old Fire Hall has been cleared out and there is room to store two pickup trucks, the two
main lawn mowers, and two or three utility vehicles.
o Group gatherings will be limited at both facilities. If necessary, they will be conducted
outdoors or in the vehicle storage bays with a minimum of 6-feet social distancing.
• Each employee will be assigned a vehicle for the day and will be the only employee using that vehicle.
At the end of the day the vehicle will be sanitized and will be marked with a post-it note that it has
been sanitized so an employee using it the next day knows it has been cleaned.
• If two employees need to ride in one vehicle each employee will be required to wear a mask while in
the vehicle. All attempts shall be made to ride in separate vehicles.
• Breaks and lunches will be taken in the field or at staggered times to allow for proper spacing in
kitchens and break rooms. Employees are encouraged to spread out through the buildings while
taking their breaks and lunches. All kitchen equipment and tables must be wiped down after each
employee uses them. All high contact areas at each shop shall be sanitized daily. These areas include
but are not limited to restroom doors and facilities, kitchen areas, main doors to each building, and
any other areas that have a high frequency of contact. Sanitizing wipes and liquids are available at
both shops for use on all equipment and facilities.
• Weather Policy: Seasonal employees will be asked to not come in on rain days to ensure there is
adequate distancing for the full-time workers that will be inside. There may be situations that arise
that will allow for seasonal and full-time workers to remain adequately spaced between both shops
where a certain number of seasonal employees may be able to stay and work on indoor activities. If
rain develops during the workday the supervisors will decide if and when seasonal employees should
be sent home for the day. In questionable situations regarding distancing, seasonal employees will
be asked to go home for the day.

HOUSEKEEPING
Regular housekeeping practices are being implemented including routine cleaning and disinfecting of work
surfaces, equipment, tools and machinery and areas in the work environment, including restrooms,
kitchen/break rooms and meeting rooms. Frequent cleaning and disinfecting will be conducted in high touch
and use areas, phones, keyboards, touch screens, controls, door handles, railings, copy machines, etc. A
daily checkoff list of specific areas to disinfect will be implemented, and all employees are responsible for
disinfecting their personal workspaces at least once per day that they are in use. The regular 2-times per
week cleaning of City Hall and 3-times per week cleaning of the Public Works Building done by a contracted
cleaning service has continued as usual.

If it has been determined that a person infected with COVID-19 has been inside of a city facility, the City
Administrator will determine the proper actions to take in order to safely and correctly disinfect the building.
