COVID-19 Preparedness Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Page 14 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Guidance for Exposure to Presumptive or Confirmed COVID-19 <br />Situation Communication to Employee Process to Notify City <br />Administrator <br />City Administrator <br />will do the following: <br />1. An employee indicates that <br />they or a member of their <br />household have tested <br />positive for COVID‐19, or <br />presumptively diagnosed by <br />a health care provider with <br />COVID‐19. <br />a) Direct the employee to stay <br />home and follow CDC guidelines <br />for return to work. <br />• <br />b) Let employee know that they <br />may qualify for Federal <br />Emergency Paid Sick Leave and <br />the City’s Emergency Pandemic <br />Leave. HR will coordinate with <br />them. <br /> <br />c) Let them know that either the <br />City Administrator or City Clerk <br />will be in contact with them <br />regarding next steps. <br />a) Immediately notify City <br />Administrator <br />b) Provide City Administrator <br />contact information of city <br />employees and any members of <br />the public that the ill employee <br />had contact with in the past 14 <br />days. The City Administrator will <br />develop communication that will <br />be shared with all impacted <br />individuals. The Department may <br />be asked to assist with <br />distribution of the <br />communication. <br />c) Specifically identify city facilities <br />and equipment that the <br />employee used in the past 14 <br />days and inform the City <br />Administrator or City Clerk. <br />a) The City Administrator will handle <br />any media requests and inquiries by <br />members of the public regarding the <br />situation. <br />b) The City Administrator or City <br />Clerk will communicate to affected <br />city staff regarding the situation. <br />c) The City Administrator or City <br />Clerk will contact Public Works to <br />facilitate cleaning the affected <br />facilities and equipment. This may <br />include contracting with an outside <br />cleaning company. <br />d) City Clerk will communicate with <br />the affected employee and instruct <br />them of the next steps including the <br />following: <br />i. The employee will follow the CDC <br />guidelines below for return to <br />work. The city may require the <br />employee to provide a letter from <br />a health professional that the <br />employee is cleared to return to <br />work. <br />ii. Types of leave the employee <br />may be eligible for. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
