MINUTES <br />CITY COiJNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 24, 2008 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STORMWATER Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the <br />MANAGEMENT City's Zoning Code adopting a Stormwater Management Ordinance. It <br />ORDINANCE was noted that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br />ordinance. <br />The City Engineer reported that this is a new ordinance for the City which <br />is a means for improving water quality within Little Canada. The <br />Engineer noted that ordinance compliance will be required for any project <br />having a minimum of 20,000 square feet of disturbance. The Engineer <br />noted that the Watershed has stormwater management regulations which <br />go into effect for disturbance of a minimum of one acre, therefore, the <br />City's regulations will provide for more conriol on smaller projects. The <br />Engineer noted that Little Canada already has some stormwater <br />management controls scattered throughout its existing ordinance. This <br />proposed ordinance will focus and strengthen those current controls. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Allan, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-9-235 -ADOPTING THE STORMWATER <br />MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE AS SUBMITTED BY THE CITY <br />ENGINEER AND AS REVISED AT THE COUNCIL'S WORKSHOP <br />MEETING HELD THIS EVENING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />EROSION Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider adoption of an amendment <br />CONTROL to the Zoning Code enacting an Erosion Control Ordinance. It was noted <br />ORDINANCE that the Planning Commission has recommended adoption of this <br />ordinance. <br />10 <br />
