MINUTES CITY COiJNCIL SEPTEMBER 24, 2008 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. STORMWATER Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an amendment to the MANAGEMENT City's Zoning Code adopting a Stormwater Management Ordinance. It ORDINANCE was noted that the Planning Commission recommended approval of the ordinance. The City Engineer reported that this is a new ordinance for the City which is a means for improving water quality within Little Canada. The Engineer noted that ordinance compliance will be required for any project having a minimum of 20,000 square feet of disturbance. The Engineer noted that the Watershed has stormwater management regulations which go into effect for disturbance of a minimum of one acre, therefore, the City's regulations will provide for more conriol on smaller projects. The Engineer noted that Little Canada already has some stormwater management controls scattered throughout its existing ordinance. This proposed ordinance will focus and strengthen those current controls. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Allan, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was closed. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2008-9-235 -ADOPTING THE STORMWATER MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE AS SUBMITTED BY THE CITY ENGINEER AND AS REVISED AT THE COUNCIL'S WORKSHOP MEETING HELD THIS EVENING The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. EROSION Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider adoption of an amendment CONTROL to the Zoning Code enacting an Erosion Control Ordinance. It was noted ORDINANCE that the Planning Commission has recommended adoption of this ordinance. 10
