Page 4 Architecture + Engineering + Environmental + Planning
Work Program
PLAN THE WORK + WORK THE PLAN
To develop an easy-to-implement master plan that serves as more than just another packet of information, thorough analysis
must align with goals and proven cost effectiveness, and it’s important to have a partner that can guide the City throughout the
process. With a background in master planning, ISG takes an upfront approach to park assessments, as the firm understands
that the more thorough the planning is during the initial stages of investigation, the more accurate and useful the end result.
With an aptitude for properly identifying community needs, combined with access to resources from all disciplines, ISG is
equipped to integrate existing data like the City’s 2018 Park System Plan and recently completed Community Engagement
Reports with our findings and translate that into a well-vetted plan for Phase 1 that outlines immediate improvement
opportunities. All of the phases of this effort are interconnected, and ISG is eager to put a plan into motion by rolling up
its sleeves and implementing the work plan outlined in the following pages in adherence to the following schedule:
By studying the language, legacy,
and future community needs, ISG
can identify opportunities that can
shape and enhance the approach to
this project. The team’s collective
research and initial translation of needs,
paired with the extensive community
engagement that the City has
completed to date, will help kick-start
and inform a process that will be guided
by the community.
Contextual design and alternative
analysis design practices will drive
planning efforts, setting the stage for an
effective and impactful plan. Integrating
the context of place by interpreting the
spaces from the user’s perspective will
result in objective designs and solutions.
The team will partner with all
stakeholders to ensure that every viable
option is considered and suggested
recommendations benefit the City and
community for years to come.
ALTERNATIVE DESIGN +
CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS
Alternative
Design
Contextual
Analysis
FUTURE PHASES
Phase 2
Multi-Use Building
TASK TWO
Plan Development + Engagement
TASK ONE
Safety Assessment, Accessibility
Assessment, and Project Kickoff
and Visioning Meeting
PHASE 1 OVERVIEW
DELIVERABLES
Existing
Document
Review
Site Analysis
Safety +
Accessibility
Assessment
Recommendations
for Improvements
DELIVERABLES
Concept Alternatives for Focus Recreation Components
Interactive Project Website for Public Input
Two (2) Parks Commission Meetings
One (1) City Council Meeting
One (1) Round of Comprehensive Edits
Final Preferred Option
Opinion of Probable Cost
Funding Support Services
Maintenance Needs Summary
