MINUTES <br />PARKS & REC COMMISSION <br />DECEMBER 2, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />The Parks & Recreation Director stated that they are working on a project website. He noted that <br />information will also be included in the newsletter. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hipp commented that placing signs in the park is also very effective in informing <br />people of what is going on. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: COMMISSIONER TERMS AND REAPPOINTMENT PROCESS <br />UPDATE <br />The Parks & Recreation Director commented that this will be Commissioner Ray’s last meeting <br />and Commissioner Schletty reapplied. He noted that three interviews were conducted, and the <br />Council will make appointments in December, along with appointing a Chair. <br /> <br />Chair Miller agreed that there were three great candidates. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ray noted that he was not appointed until his second attempt. He hoped that the <br />two candidates that are not appointed continue to apply. <br /> <br />Commissioner Chu commented that hopefully the other candidates are aware there are other <br />ways to be involved as well. <br /> <br />Chair Miller confirmed that they did have a conversation advising about subcommittees and <br />community build projects. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: FALL/WINTER FARMERS MARKET <br />The Recreation Coordinator stated that Little Canada Farmers Market was accepted for <br />Snap/EBT for the spring/summer market. She stated that the first fall market was held in <br />November with eight vendors. She stated that even though there were not many people in <br />attendance, the vendors were interested in another market. She reported that the next market <br />would be held on January 10th. <br /> <br />Commissioner Chu commented that this is a new thing, and they should continue to spread the <br />word to alert more residents. <br /> <br />The Recreation Coordinator confirmed that she is going to work on marketing. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: 2022 MEETING SCHEDULE <br />The Community Services Manager highlighted the 2022 meeting dates. The group confirmed <br />that they would like to continue to meet at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Schletty introduced the following motion: <br /> <br />ADOPT THE 2022 MEETING CALENDAR
