STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Parks & Recreation Commission <br />FROM:Bryce Shearen, CPRP, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager <br />DATE:July 1, 2021 <br />RE:Canadian Days Engagement <br />Part of the engagement and feedback process for the Pioneer Park Master Plan is to share the <br />design options with the community at the 2021 Canadian Days celebration. This was done in <br />2017 for the Park System Master Plan and the Parks & Recreation Commission played an active <br />role in interacting with the public to get feedback and providing a positive connection point with <br />the community. <br />Staff is requesting commissioners discuss the opportunity to volunteer for a shift to “staff” a <br />booth and get feedback on the proposed plan from the community. Commissioners are asked to <br />provide a summary of findings after the event that can be shared with city staff and Bolton & <br />Menk to be incorporated into the final phase of the plan. <br />Available shifts are as follows: <br />Saturday, July 31 <br />10 AM – Noon Noon – 2 PM <br />Commissioner:Commissioner: <br />Commissioner:Commissioner:
