Draft Work Program <br />3 October 2019 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />5.0 Housing Element <br />No changes are needed in this chapter. <br />Review all policies and eliminate those that are generic, best-practice and non- <br />controversial. Add policies that address identified planning issues. <br />6.0 Parks and Trails Element <br />Summarize the 2018 park system master plan. Include figures 2.1 and 2.5. <br />Add a capital improvement program for parks in the Implementation chapter. <br />7.0 Natural Environment Element <br />Change the title to Natural Resources and Resilience. <br />No other additions or changes are needed for this element. <br />Review all policies and eliminate those that are generic, best-practice and non- <br />controversial. Add policies that address identified planning issues. <br />8.0 Water Resources Element <br />Wastewater <br />Bill Dirks will create a new wastewater sub-chapter, starting with the chapter in the <br />2008 comprehensive plan, and updating the numbers and facts as needed. Bill Weber <br />will format and edit the text as needed. <br />Bill Dirks and Bryce Shearen will create a map or maps showing the location of: <br />o Lift stations, connection point to the metro system, and future connection points <br />o Local sewer service districts by connection points <br />o Intercommunity connections <br />Surface Water <br />Bill Weber will create a new chapter using the 2018 surface water master plan. Bill <br />Dirks will review and edit as needed. <br />Bill Dirks and Bryce Shearen will create a map showing drainage areas, including the <br />path and flow directions of stormwater runoff <br />Water Supply <br />Bill Weber will edit and incorporate the already-completed 2016 DNR water supply <br />plan template, which was prepared by Bill Dirks. <br />Bill Dirks and Bryce Shearen will map the location of City water wells and storage <br />facilities. Include the St. Paul Water Utilities corridor and the supply line from the St. <br />Paul Utilities filtration plant. <br />9.0 Resilience Element <br />No additions or changes are needed for this element. The requirements were addressed <br />in the Natural Resources Element.
