MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 22, 2008 <br />Appeal of City Staff s determination that the Salvage yard is not <br />grandfathered in; <br />Conditional Use Permit allowing proof of parking. <br />RE-ISSUE <br />INTERIM <br />USE PERMIT- <br />3137 <br />COUNTRY <br />DRIVE - <br />FRA-DOR <br />Blesener noted that R & S Automotive has submitted a letter requesting <br />that action on these applications be tabled at this time. It was the <br />consensus of the Council to table action until the November 24`h Council <br />meeting pending receipt of a 60-day waiver from R & S. Without the <br />waiver, the applications will be deemed denied. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-10-269 -CONTINUING THE PUBLIC <br />HEARING AND TABLING ACTION ON THE R & S AUTOMOTIVE <br />ZONING REQUESTS LISTED BELOW UNTIL THE NOVEMBER 24, <br />2008 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OFA <br />SIGNED 60-DAY WAIVER FROM R & S AUTOMOTIVE, AND <br />DECLARING THAT WITHOUT RECEIPT OF THIS WAIVER <br />THESE ZONING APPLICATIONS ARE DEEMED DENIED: <br />Conditional Use Permit for outdoor storage of vehicles and <br />waste containers for R & S; <br />Variance from the provision tJzat an Interim Use Permit for <br />off-site outdoor storage must be operated by a local business; <br />Interim Use Permits allowing off-site outdoor storage for several <br />businesses; <br />Appeal of City Staff's determination that the Salvage yard is not <br />grandfathered in; <br />Conditional Use Permit allowing proof of parking. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider the Re-issuance of an <br />Interim Use Permit to allow aggregate materials stockpiling and recycling <br />at 3137 Country Drive, Fra-Dor. It was noted that the City Planner and <br />Planning Commission has recommended approval based on the future <br />redevelopment of the site. <br />The City Administrator reported that a committee consisting of <br />representatives of the City Council, Planning Commission, and City staff <br />has been working with Fra-Dor on the concept whereby the Interim Use <br />Permit for Fra-Dor would be re-issued for a period of perhaps five years <br />during which time work would be done to redevelop the site. The <br />
