Existing Conditions <br />Twin Lake Boulevard ǀ 0N1.125376 Page 4 <br /> <br />EXISTING CONDITIONS <br />STREETS <br />Twin Lake Boulevard is a bituminous roadway that averages 30-32 feet wide. The roadway generally has <br />a rural section without storm sewer or curb and gutter. However, the section from Bankers Drive to <br />Mayfair Road has an urban section with storm sewer and curb and gutter. <br />Braun Intertec performed a geotechnical evaluation of the pavement in October 2021. Table 1 below <br />outlines the bituminous and aggregate base thickness based on the field work performed. The draft <br />geotechnical report is included in Appendix F for reference. On average, the pavement section consists <br />of approximately 7 inches of bituminous pavement over 6 inches of aggregate base. The existing sub- <br />base consists of sandy subsoils. The pavement in the project area shows significant wear and distress <br />due mostly to age, as indicated by the pavement oxidation, cracking, raveling, and potholes. <br />Table 1: Existing Pavement Section Results <br />Boring Item No. Bituminous (in.)
