Wehrle
felt that some of the items on the list are considered
"re-development" items rather than maintenance items because
they are so old and in need of repair. The Director agreed
stating that in the case of the re-roofing of the shelters
at Spooner Park, the roofs have seen 18 years of life and
are in need of attention.
Wehrle stated that he had a problem with resurfacing of the
tennis courts at Spooner Park. The Director stated that the
price could come in under the estimate.
Holm asked if 1996 was soon enough for the parking expansion
at Pioneer Park. Johnson wanted to know if the extra
parking is needed. Hartmann stated that the parking is
needed. However, he felt that the park should be finished
first before the parking is added. He also felt that the
trails should be paved first.
Wehrle stated that he was comfortable with 1996 for the
parking expansion for Pioneer Park. However, he felt that
possibly the temporary parking should be increased or the
ball game schedules staggered to help with the parking
problem.
