r~1NUTES
~~arks & Recreation Commission
r'tabruary 3, 1994
DNR and they have stated that roads do not serve as
barriers. Herbst stated that the law is clear in that it
must be shoreline land.
Wehrle recommended accepting park land dedication fees in
lieu of land for the Mitchell property development in Little
Canada with the possibility of negotiating for relocating
trees that are scheduled to be removed to other parks in
Little Canada.
Seconded by Johnson.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
RnDA Don and Joanne Rada appeared before the commission for
SUt3DIVISION consideration of a park charge for their proposed
subdivision on Edgerton Street just north of Gervais Mill
Park.
Sanders stated that the Rada's property has 200 feet of
frontage on Edgerton Street with a depth of approximately
287 to 297 feet. They are proposing to split their property
to make two lots fronting on Edgerton Street. Each lot
would have 100 feet of front footage.
Don Rada stated that the existing house would be located on
the northern lot and there would be an approximate 25 foot
side yard setback from the lot line to the house. He
indicated that they plan on developing the southern lot.
Joanne Rada stated that they have already given a small
corner of property on the southern lot to the City for
drainage.
Wehrle felt that the Commission should accept the park
charge fee instead of the land on this subdivision. Sanders
agreed stating that it was not advantageous to add land to
the park in that area and it would be detrimental to the
Rada's to retain the land for their lot.
Remerowski recommended accepting the park land dedication
fee in lieu of land for the Rada subdivision.
Seconded by Johnson.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
-7-
