MINUTES <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />APRIL 7, 1994 <br />Schletty wetland; <br />Turnquist wetland; <br />Dennery property under powerlines near LaBore <br />Road. <br />Motion seconded by Magnuson. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />10$ GAMBLING The Commission reviewed the Guidelines for 10% <br />EXPENDITURES Gambling Expenditures prepared by the City Administrator. <br />Remerowski suggested that the Commission develop a list <br />of funding requests to be submitted for consideration. <br />Morelan pointed out that initially the Commission had <br />submitted a list of items to be considered for funding <br />through 10% monies. However, at the time, funding <br />criteria was not clearly defined, and the items on the <br />list were shuffled into other funding areas. Morelan <br />stated that the funding criteria is now more clearly <br />defined. <br />Morelan reported that he had some suggestions for items <br />to be submitted for 10% funding. These are: <br />*Lighting of some of the trails in the City's <br />parks; <br />*Lighting the tennis courts at Pioneer Park; <br />*Installation of a bike rack at Pioneer Park; <br />*Monument-type signage at Pioneer Park. <br />Sanders suggested that matching grant funds could be <br />another 10% funding request, especially for the tree <br />planting grants which are pending. <br />Johnson noted the portion of the policy which states that <br />funding requests should not be frivolous in nature. <br />Johnson felt that statement was open to a lot of <br />interpretation. <br />Morelan suggested that another funding item would be a <br />5 <br />
