- Critical Issues (Phase I) <br />1. Assist Planning Committees in acquiring needed resources and <br />structure to develop a clear list of 5-6 prioritized critical issues in <br />their specific areas of focus. Facilitate and support the selection <br />/prioritizing process for individual Planning Committees to the extent <br />needed. -- <br />2. Prepare and circulate drafts of the selected critical issues for ` <br />Planning Committees to edit/review. <br />3. Facilitate a meeting of all 15 Planning Committees to assure <br />linkage, appropriate chronology, and coordination of critical issues `' ` <br />across the Count ., .. ;,_........,_.. <br />y. ~ ~:. .. ~: _ .....,. . <br />4. Draft Phase I report for review by Planning Committees and <br />submission to the Ramsey County Boazd of Commissioners. <br />5. Distribute the approved report to key stakeholders as <br />appropriate. <br />Strategies (Phase II) <br />1. Work to secure funding and cooperation between the County <br />and local media to receive citizen input to help prioritize the <br />strategies developed by Planning Committees. <br />2. Conduct a citizen input process that identifies strategy options <br />and provides for citizens to rank them. <br />3. Summarize the citizen input and provide it to Planning <br />Committees for their final decision/selection of primary and <br />secondary strategies in each of the 15 service and policy areas. <br />4. Prepare and circulate a draft report summarizing the selected <br />strategies for Planning Committees to edit/review. <br />5. Facilitate a meeting of all 15 Planning Committees to assure <br />agreement on and understanding of the implications of the selected <br />strategies across the County. <br />25 <br />Page 45 <br />
