Minutes Parks & Recreation September 5, 1996 LETTERS OF APPRECIATION OTHER BUSINESS May 2, 1996 Parks & Recreation Commission meeting. Remerowski made a motion that the Ruth Street property and Lake Street property not be considered for park purposes. Greger seconded the motion. Motion carried 7 - 0. Johnson stated she would like to see organizations, such as the Girl Scouts, be given recognition for their effort. Morelan stated that the names of scouts are printed in the Le Petit Canadien for recognition. Remerowski stated a thank you letter/certificate would be appropriate. Johnson agreed. Granley stated that the Community Pride Committee would like to ask what the Parks & Recreation Commission's policy would be on this, for future information. Christensen remarked that situations differ, and the Parks & Recreation Commission should not plant their feet in concrete on this. Johnson stated if the Community Pride Committee would like certain entities honored by way of a letter/certificate of commendation, if other members of the Parks & Recreation Commission agree, she would be happy to draft a thank you letter. Sanders stated that Arcade Street lake will be improved.
