Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2 023-11-151— A UTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICA TION <br />TO THE 2023 LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE LITTLE CANADA <br />ROAD AND COUNTRYDRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2023-11-152 — A UTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A SPOT <br />MOBILITY AND SAFETY APPLICATION TO THE 2024 REGIONAL SOLICITATION <br />FOR THE LITTLE CANADA R OAD AND CO UNTR Y DRIVE INTERSECTION <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTRACT FOR CITY AUDITING SERVICES FOR 2024-2026 <br />The Finance Director explained the Council is asked to consider a contract with Abdo for auditing <br />services for the period of 2023 through 2025, with an option for a two-year extension. He stated that <br />the current audit contract ended in 2021 and a one-year extension was granted for 2022. He stated that <br />the City was informed that service costs would substantially increase, therefore the City completed an <br />RFP, receiving four proposals. He reviewed details of the proposed contract as well as other <br />considerations in the decision. <br />Mayor Fischer commented that he enjoyed participating in the interview process for the two firms and <br />both were great candidates. He stated that this is a case where change could be good, also noting the <br />lower price. He asked how the decision would be made on the extension. The Finance Director noted <br />that sometimes the same contract price can be agreed to continue, while other times an increase is <br />proposed and there would be opportunity for negotiation to determine if the services should continue. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2023-11-153 — APPRO VING A CONTRACT WITH ABDO AS THE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AUDITOR FOR 2023-2025 WITH AN ADDITIONAL TWO- <br />YEAR EXTENSION OPTION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PERSONNEL POLICY UPDATES <br />The City Clerk explained that the Council has discussed these proposed changes in detail at a previous <br />workshop.
