Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2 023-11-151— A UTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICA TION TO THE 2023 LOCAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD AND COUNTRYDRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2023-11-152 — A UTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A SPOT MOBILITY AND SAFETY APPLICATION TO THE 2024 REGIONAL SOLICITATION FOR THE LITTLE CANADA R OAD AND CO UNTR Y DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. CONTRACT FOR CITY AUDITING SERVICES FOR 2024-2026 The Finance Director explained the Council is asked to consider a contract with Abdo for auditing services for the period of 2023 through 2025, with an option for a two-year extension. He stated that the current audit contract ended in 2021 and a one-year extension was granted for 2022. He stated that the City was informed that service costs would substantially increase, therefore the City completed an RFP, receiving four proposals. He reviewed details of the proposed contract as well as other considerations in the decision. Mayor Fischer commented that he enjoyed participating in the interview process for the two firms and both were great candidates. He stated that this is a case where change could be good, also noting the lower price. He asked how the decision would be made on the extension. The Finance Director noted that sometimes the same contract price can be agreed to continue, while other times an increase is proposed and there would be opportunity for negotiation to determine if the services should continue. Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2023-11-153 — APPRO VING A CONTRACT WITH ABDO AS THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA AUDITOR FOR 2023-2025 WITH AN ADDITIONAL TWO- YEAR EXTENSION OPTION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PERSONNEL POLICY UPDATES The City Clerk explained that the Council has discussed these proposed changes in detail at a previous workshop.
