MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DECEMBER 20, 2023 <br />Albrecht Companies. He stated that staff will continue to review this over the winter in hopes to <br />address the additional exterior work in the next one to two years. <br />Mayor Fischer referenced the difference between the bids and noted that the practice is to accept the <br />lowest, most responsible bid. He asked if staff is confident with the low bid. The Public Works <br />Director commented that he spoke with the contractor and is confident in the bid as they have done <br />other work for the city. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2023-12-167 — A WARDING THE INTERIOR CITY HALL <br />BASEMENT WATERPROOFING CONTRACT TO ALBRECHT COMPANIES IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF $15,640 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SET 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULE <br />The City Clerk presented the proposed 2024 meeting schedule, highlighting meeting dates that were <br />changed due to conflicts and the additional date for assessment hearings in October. <br />Kwapick commented that he would be available March 12th or 13th if that meeting could be shifted by <br />a day, he would then not need to miss both March meetings. Mayor Fischer commented that he would <br />prefer to stay with consistent meeting dates as only one member of the Council would miss on that <br />regularly scheduled date. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-12-168 — ADOPTING THE 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SCHEDULE AS PRESENTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ORDINANCE 888, AMENDING THE FEE SCHEDULE FOR 2024 WATER AND SEWER <br />RATES, TRASH AND RECYCLING RATES, DEVELOPMENT FEES, MECHANICAL AND <br />PLUMBING PERMITS, AND LICENSES AND PARK FACILITY RENTAL RATES <br />The City Clerk stated that each December the fee schedule is reviewed to determine any proposed <br />changes. She reviewed the proposed changes to schedule and recommended adoption noting that the <br />changes would be implemented January 1, 2024. <br />D. Miller referenced the miscellaneous fees and stated that perhaps that should stay flat for this year as <br />additional fees have already been added this year. Mayor Fischer commented that a lot of the shelter <br />rentals are by non-residents and with the Ramsey County sales tax increase this would most likely just <br />cover costs. <br />0 <br />
