Prepared by: Bolton & Menk, Inc. RECOMMENDATIONS
Labore Road Corridor Study ǀ 0N1.130034 Page 9
VI. RECOMMENDATIONS
The public engagement performed with this Labore Road Corridor Study suggests that community
members have a strong desire to see improvements made to Labore Road, specifically with
respect to pedestrian improvements, speed reduction, and traffic safety. The technical analysis
suggests that the community concerns have merit and that improvements could be made to
Labore Road to address the needs and desires of the public. Improvements to Labore Road will
come at a cost. Through annual budgeting processes, City staff and the City Council can begin
programming improvements as funding is available. Alternatively, the City should consider
applying to one or more of the grant programs discussed previously in this Report. The following
represent the general infrastructure recommendations moving forward.
Roadway Reconfiguration
Option 3 and Option 4 are technically feasible and have broad community support. Both
options are estimated to cost $2.0M to $2.5M, excluding costs associated with road
pavement replacement. Either of these options would need to be performed in coordination
with a road pavement replacement project due to the roadway narrowing required. The
improvements could be performed in segments over time as funding allows.

Exhibit 9 – Roadway Reconfiguration – Option 3 Rendering
