<br /> <br /> <br />Primary Billing <br />Respondents were asked if primary billing is done in-house or provided by the hauler. 100% <br />responded that billing is done in-house. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />In-house for Billing <br />As all five respondents outlined they do billing in-house, all four responded with the position that <br />completes billing: <br />• Utility Billing Technician <br />• Utility Billing Specialist <br />• Accountant <br />• Utility Billing Coordinator and Utility Billing Representative <br />• Department for utility billing that handles all utilities, not just solid waste <br /> <br />80% responded the positions are full-time, with one articulating that while the position is full- <br />time, the position also does billing for water and sewer in addition to refuse billing. <br /> <br />BUDGET: <br />No budgetary impact at this time. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council discuss and provide direction to staff regarding the <br />issuance of a single-hauler request for proposal for organized collection and recycling services. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
