If employees want to use their own money, they <br />can order from the store at any time; however, payment for the <br />attire and shipping costs must be made before the order is placed <br />Vadnais Heights Formal policy, under employee recognition and considered “part of <br />compensation package” <br />• $100 allowance annually <br />• Full-time and part-time permanent employees <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation <br />A few administrative personnel and City Council members currently own logoed attire. For those <br />that do have apparel, items were either purchased personally or “extras” were provided from <br />other departments. Therefore, in order to provide current staff and elected officials with baseline <br />apparel, staff recommends authorizing one city-logoed polo for 2024. Currently, $1,000 is <br />budgeted item within the Administration budget under line item 101-12-00-4240-0000: Uniforms <br />& Apparel for 2024. <br /> <br />Going forward, staff recommends drafting a policy and procedure for qualifying staff members <br />and elected officials to have $100.00 annually towards logoed uniforms. Staff would open a <br />“store” once per year, order clothing of the employee's choice, and pay for embroidery. <br /> <br />The City Council is asked to discuss and provide direction for the development of policies and <br />procedures around city apparel and draft a personnel policy update for consideration. <br /> <br />
