MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 249 2024 <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-6-75 -AUTHORIZING THE PROPOSAL FOR <br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH BOLTON AND MEND FOR THE 2 02 6 LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ACCEPT METROPOLITAN COUNCIL WATER EFFICIENCY GRANT PROGRAM <br />The Community Relations Manager provided background information on the Water Efficiency Grant <br />Program and stated that the Metropolitan Council was allocated funding to assist in that goal. She <br />stated that the City was awarded funds through the grant program, which will be available for residents <br />to apply. She reviewed some of the eligible expenses through this program and the matching funds <br />requirement. She noted that more information can be found on the City website. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ACCEPT RAMSEY COUNTY CRITICAL CORRIDOR GRANT <br />The Community Relations Manager stated that the City submitted a grant application in April to <br />Ramsey County, noting the purpose is to support small business districts. She noted that they will <br />focus on the Rice Street corridor, specifically placemaking and with a focus of City owned properties. <br />She stated that Little Canada Road and Marketplace can also be included. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-6-77 - A CCEPTING GRANT FUNDS FROM RAMSEY <br />COUNTY COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE 2024 CRITICAL <br />CORRIDORS COMMERCIAL CORRIDOR INITIATIVE AND A UTHORIZING STAFF <br />TO SIGN AND ENTER INTO A GRANT A GREEMENT UPON RECEIPT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ACCEPT RAMSEY COUNTY BE ACTIVE! BE GREEN! BENCH GRANT <br />The Park and Recreation Director provided background information on the Be Active! Be Green! <br />Bench initiative. He stated that the City requested 13 benches on the Waterworks Trail and Jackson <br />Street. <br />5 <br />
