MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 249 2024 <br />D. Miller asked if this would provide the benches and then the City would be in charge of installation. <br />The Park and Recreation Director confirmed that the City would receive the benches and then would <br />pick them up and place them. <br />D. Miller asked if the benches would be installed this year. The Park and Recreation Director <br />commented that the benches would have up to one year for installation but felt that they would be <br />installed this year. He noted that if a bench needed to be moved, the City would work with Ramsey <br />County to find a new location. He confirmed that the benches would require ADA accessible pads. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-6-78 — A UTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITYAND RAMSEY COUNTY FOR THE "BE ACTIVE! BE GREEN! <br />BENCH INITIATIVE" GRANT PROGRAM. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LEASE AGREEMENT FOR 2828 CONDIT STREET <br />The City Clerk stated that at the June 12th City Council workshop there was discussion of leasing the <br />2828 Condit Street property as it will be a few years before that property would be ready for <br />redevelopment. She highlighted elements of the lease agreement that has been drafted. She <br />commented that staff would manage the leasing of the property and vetting the tenants. <br />Mayor Fischer asked if the city would be responsible for the appliances as the landlord. The City <br />Clerk confirmed that would be true. She commented that the property was well taken care of and has a <br />metal roof, and the appliances are in good condition. <br />Mayor Fischer commented that in his recollection this would be the first time the City would be <br />renting a property rather than letting it sit until it is needed. The City Clerk commented that some of <br />the other properties the city had purchased were not in great condition and/or had a more immediate <br />use. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 024-6- 79 — APPR O VING RENTAL OF THE RESIDENTIAL <br />PROPERTYAT 2828 CONDIT STREET AND A UTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRA TOR TO SIGN THE LEASE A GREEMENT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Gutierrez. <br />Ayes (5).
