He noted that the sign could then be installed at the park on October 4th.

Commissioner Schletty referenced the larger city map and stated that there is some room at the
top that is not needed and perhaps some space from the margins could be trimmed in order to
expand the rest of the details. He asked the plan dimensions of the sign.

The Recreation Coordinator replied that the sign would be three feet by five feet.

Commissioner Mui commented that the subcommittee drafted a paragraph which was not used.

The Recreation Coordinator explained that as part of the grant agreement, the past indigenous
and colonial history must be mentioned along with present details. She suggested that the signs not be associated with a large event, such
as Canadian Days, as many of the signs were damaged/stolen after that event. She provided a
summary of the costs for this season and the estimated cost that she would anticipate if they
decide to continue the program next year. She highlighted some challenges identified and
provided some suggestions for the future should the program continue. She asked if the
Commission would support continuing this program in 2025.

Commissioner Schletty recognized the connection that Commissioner Churcher provided to the
school and worried how that would continue once she leaves the Commission. He stated that
perhaps partnering with local schools would be helpful, or providing an incentive. He stated that
it would be great to see different age groups and perhaps they could reach out to elementary
