Ducharme stated that he <br /> would 'note to see the discouragement of condominium conversion. <br /> Ducharme felt that the sooner the problem apartment complexes were <br /> converted, the conunun:ity would be better. Ducharme also stated that <br /> he did not feel the private businessman should be interfered with in <br /> conducting his business. Ducharme did state that the City should <br /> take steps to protect the tenant of an apartment being converted. <br /> i°lr. Ducharme also conunented that the grounds for dsnia.l because of <br /> the displacement o£ senior citizens was not fair, Ducharme did not <br /> feel there Caere many senior citizexrs residing in the Cityrs apartment <br /> complexes, t~Lr. Ducharme did not feel the C-ay should get involved <br /> beyond the protection of tenants and levying park charges in a condominium <br /> conversion. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that in this proposed ordinance9 the section <br /> of biggest concern is the one on grounds for denial.
