F30-7-20 - DECLARING THAT THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL WILL OTE ON APPOINTMENTS BY BALLOT METHOD <br /> AND TFIAT THE VOTE WILL BE READ ALOUD AND WILL BE <br /> INCt_UDED IN THE MEETING MINUTES AS A MATTER OF THE <br /> PUBLIC RECORD <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pers. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (~4) UeBaoe, Scalze, Hanson, Fahey, <br /> Nayes (0), <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Bonk Plo. 6, Page g, <br /> Councilwoman Scalze stated that she would like to see some type of <br /> form drawn up giving some background information on those people applying <br /> for various appointments. This might help the Council in making its <br /> decisions. Scalze also stated that these four Planning Corrrinission <br /> vacancies should be advertised so that all Little Canada citizens are <br /> aware of the opportunity to apply, <br /> Mayor Hanson stated that the City presently does not limit the number <br /> of terms an individual can serve on the Planning Commission. Perhaps <br /> this is something that should be done. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that everytime a vacancy occurs, the Council <br /> looks at old applications for the positions, Mayor Hanson stated that <br /> once a position is filled, the applications should be discarded. <br /> Fahey stated that perhaps the Council should defer the appointments unti'I <br /> the February meeting and in the meantime the City could advertise the <br /> openings on the Planning Commission. The City Clerk could contact the <br /> incumbents of a position and see if they are interested in ~c~ing consi'ered <br /> for the position. <br /> Mr. Fahey intrnduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-1-21 DEFERRING APPOINTMENT OF THE <br /> PLANNING COP4MISSIOPI VACANCIES UNTIL THE FEBRUARY MEETING <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> ayes (4) Fahey, Scalze, Flanson, DeBace, <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 10. <br /> Mr. Fahey introduced 'the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO.
