<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont'd.) <br /> February 21, 1980 <br /> Councilwoman Scalze asked Mr. Belair when Tom's Pizza would be ready <br /> to open. Mr. Belair replied that all the equipment is in, only the <br /> inspection by the Building Inspector needs to be done. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze asked Mr. Belair if he felt he had adequate <br /> parking to accommodate a take-out pizza business and an eat-in <br /> business for 12 patrons. Mr. Belair stated that Mr. Meyer, the owner <br /> of the shopping center, plans to begin expansion of the parking lot <br /> around April 1. Presently Mr. Belair's business has four parking <br /> spaces in the front of the building and two spaces in the back of <br /> the building for employee parking. <br /> Councilman DeBace informed Mr. Belair that it will take some time <br /> for Mr. Meyers to get all the approvals he needs from the County in <br /> order to expand the parking lot. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that there would be no problem approving <br /> this permit. The remodeling will have to meet the approval of the <br /> City's Building Inspector. <br /> Mr. 6elair stated that there will be a sign on the front of the building <br /> similar to the sign that Bloom's Liquor has. <br /> Councilman Fahey abstained from voting on the permit requested by Mr. <br /> Belair as he was out of the Council Chambers when the above discussion <br /> was held. <br /> Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION PIO. 80-2-99 - APPROVING A REMODELING PERMIT <br /> FOR TOMS PIZZA LOCATED AT 2750 LAKESFIORE AVENUE <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br /> Ayes (4) Nadeau, DeBace, Scalze, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (0). Councilman Fahey abstained. <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 62. <br /> Senior Mayor Hanson commented that the City has been pursuing a site for a <br /> Citizen proposed senior citizen housing development for some time. Some of <br /> Flo using the properties that the City considered for this development are: <br /> Development the Cardinal property, the Scheier property, property located along <br /> Minnesota Street, property in the area of County Road D, and property <br /> in the area of the Market Place, and the property in the Jackson <br /> and Little Canada Road vicinity. <br /> The purpose of tonight's meeting is to meet with the people in the <br /> vicinity of Jackson and Little Canada Road to get their feelings <br /> regarding a senior citizen housing development being located in their <br /> neighborhood. <br /> Page -2- <br /> <br />
