<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont'd.) <br /> March 12, 1980 <br /> Mayor Hanson stated that the City Attorney would contact Mr. hiammond <br /> regarding Mr. Sowdow's concerns, and he should have something to report <br /> back at the next Council meeting. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that before Mr. Hammond's permits are issued, <br /> he must negotiate the easements and the hold harmless agreement that <br /> the City wants. Fahey further stated that Mr. Hammond will be asked <br /> to meet with Mr. Sowdow, Mrs. Nardini and the City Attorney to come <br /> to a satisfactory solution to the problems raised tonight. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-3-115 - INSTRUCTING TEIE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> TO MEET WITFI MR. DONALD SOWDOW, MRS. NARDINI, AND MR. <br /> HAMMOND TO TRY TO WORK OUT A SATISFACTORY AGREEMENT TO <br /> ALL PARTIES REGARDING THE CONCERNS OF MR. SOWDOW AND <br /> MRS. NARDINI DUE TO THE PROPOSED LANDFILLING AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> ON THE HAMMOND PROPERTY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (5) Manson, Scalze, Fahey, Nadeau, DeBace. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 73. <br /> Appraisals Attorney Parks reported that there are not many appraisers who do <br /> Of Old appraisals on school buildings. Mr. Parks stated that he contacted <br /> Little two appraisers who do most of the school building appraisals in the <br /> Canada Twin Cities. One of these was Vince Dolan who did the appraisal on <br /> School the Old Little Canada School building for the School Board. <br /> Building <br /> Mr. Parks stated that an appraisal on the school building will cost <br /> the City somewhere from $1,200 to $2,000. <br /> Mr. Parks contacted Mr. Tansey, and he is willing to do the appraisal <br /> for $1,500.00. Mr. Parks recommended to the Council that Mr. Tansey <br /> be hired to do the appraisal. <br /> Mr. Parks also informed the Council that he talked to someone from Bob <br /> Sanders' office and was told that unless the City is buying the school <br /> building for some type of revenue return to the City, the purchase of <br /> the school building will have to go to a referendum. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-3-116 - HIRING MR. TANSEY TO APPRAISE <br /> THE OLD LITTLE CANADA SCHOOL FOR A FEE OF $1,500.00 <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> Ayes (5) Scalze, Nadeau, Hanson, DeBace, Fahey. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 74. <br /> Page -10- <br /> <br />
