MTNUT[S <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont'd.) <br /> March 26, 1980 <br /> On page 72 Section 923.030 A., 4. should read "...site conditions at <br /> a scale of no less than one (1) inch equals one hundred (100 feet." <br /> Mr. Nielson stated that he will submit the proposed Zoning Ordinance <br /> to the Council in final form. Councilman Fahey suggested that perhaps <br /> the Council could review the final form at its April 9, regular Council <br /> meeting. <br /> Mr. Nielson stated that the next steps would be the City's Housing Plan. <br /> This wi71 be submitted to the Council the first part of next week. Its <br /> purpose it; to identify existing programs that are available to the City, <br /> and attempts to address the Metro Council's allocation system for low <br /> and moderate income housing. <br /> The next step after the City's Housing Plan will be the Capital <br /> Improvements P1 an. Mr. Nielson requested any input the Council might <br /> have on this. <br /> Park Councilman Fahey requested the City Clerk to give Council members a <br /> Charges copy of the ordinance regulating park charges, so that Council could <br /> discuss this at their next Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Old Mrs. Sca1ze asked the Planner if he investigated the possibility of the <br /> Little City's obtaining a grant to purchase the Old Little Canada School building. <br /> Canada <br /> School The Planner stated that in looking at the different grant programs he <br /> found out that the City will have to have a specific purpose in mind <br /> for the Old Little Canada School building's use in order to try to <br /> obtain a grant. The Planner recommended that the Council have a <br /> feasibility study done on the building and its possible uses. <br /> Mayor Hanson stated that the City is now in the process of getting an <br /> appf~aisal done on the building. Hanson also commented that there are no <br /> bonds for sale in the state at this time. Flanson commented that the <br /> City will probably hold a referendum to decide whether it should purchase <br /> the school building. <br /> Scalze suggested that the City assign a committee to study the feasibility <br /> of purchasing the building. <br /> The Planner suggested that the maintenance costs of the building be also <br /> considered. <br /> The Attorney reported that Mr. Tansey will begin the appraisal of the <br /> building next week. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that he would like to have an advisory referendum <br /> possibly at the same time as the purchase of the school building referendum <br /> to see how the citizens of Little Canada feel about smaller lot sizes, or <br /> the purchase of ponding areas for example.
