The Council <br /> discussed the various problems that can arise when a fence is erected <br /> on the line. The second page 18 pertains to situations where additional <br /> privacy fences, dog kennels or other fences are erected next to an existing <br /> fence. The ordinance is requiriny a three foot separation between <br /> such fences. <br /> Zoning The Planner also submitted to the Council a proposed zoning map. <br /> <br /> Map TWE PROPOSED ZONING MAP DOES NOT CHANGE ANY OF THE EXISTING ZONING. <br /> The proposed zoning map is a revision of the present zoning map into <br /> zoning districts. <br /> A public hearing must be held on the proposed zoning ordinance and <br /> revised zoning map before the Council adopts the zoning ordinance and <br /> revised zoning map. After the adoption of the zoning ordinance, <br /> specific rezoning hearings will be held pertaining to rezoning of <br /> certain parcels pursuant to the Comprehensive Plan. It was the consensus <br /> of the Council that a public hearing would be held at Eli Road School <br /> on June 25, 1980. <br /> Additional The Planner informed the Council that additional grants are available <br /> Planning and he will check to see what allocation Little Canada can receive. <br /> Funds & By consensus of the Council the Engineer was instructed to prepare and <br /> Capital submit a Capital Improvements Program. The Planner by consensus of the <br /> Improvement Council was instructed to prepare guidelines for the Park Commission <br /> And Small pertaining to Park improvements. <br /> Cities <br /> Grants There was a brief discussion concerning grants to small cities pertaining <br /> to senior citizen housing. The Planner was instructed by the consensus <br /> of the Council to prepare an application for a small cities grant for <br /> acquisition of property for senior citizen housing. <br /> Proclamations The Mayor made the following proclamations: May 10 to May 16, 1980 <br /> was proclaimed to be City Clerk's Week; May 19 to May 24, 1980 was <br /> proclaimed to be Mailbox Improvement Week. <br /> Old Little The Mayor announced that he has received letters from parents who have <br /> Canada people enrolled in the North Suburban Development Achievement Center, <br /> School Inc. pertaining to the purchase of the Old Little Canada School. <br /> Schrier The Attorney reported that he has talked to Mr. Schrier concerning the <br /> Property purchase of his property on County Road C, but he has not disclosed a <br /> purchase price. It was the consensus of the Council that the Attorney <br /> be instructed to obtain purchase options on the Schrier property for <br /> senior citizen housing. <br /> Page -3- <br /> <br />
