<br /> MINUTES <br /> <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont.) <br /> May 14, 1980 <br /> Army Corps Mayor Hanson reported that Mrs. Nardini and Mr. Soldow have informed <br /> Of him that they~ave heard nothing from the Army Corps of Engineers on <br /> Engineers the Hammond land filling situation. <br /> Parking Mayor Flanson reported that he received a complaint from Mrs. Neerr~y <br /> On regarding the Franzen's leaving cars parked on the south side of <br /> Lahore Lahore Road so that the Neemy's cannot get cars out of their driveway. <br /> Road Hanson stated that he would have the Sheriff check this out. <br /> League Of Mayor Hanson stated that he would like to attend Small Cities Day at <br /> Minnesota the League of Minnesota Cities Convention in Duluth. Hanson thought <br /> Cities that the registration fee for his attendance would be approximately <br /> Convention $23.00. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 80-5-178 - APPROVING THE PAYMENT OF MAYOR <br /> HANSON S REGISTRATION FEE FOR ATTENDANCE AT TFIE LEAGUE <br /> OF MINNESOTA CITIES CONVENTION <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br /> Ayes (5) Scalze, DeBace, Flanson, Fahey, Nadeau. <br /> Nayes (O). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 115. <br /> Fire Lane Mayor Hanson reported that the merchants of the Market Place are <br /> Market requesting that the fire lane be moved to the back of the building. <br /> Place Hanson stated that he would have the Fire Marshall and Fire Chief <br /> review this request. <br /> Awarding Councilman DeBace reported that the City received four bids for the <br /> sealcoating sealcoating of City streets. The bids are as follows: <br /> Bid <br /> T. A. Schifsky & Son, Inc. - $.64 per square yard <br /> Bituminous Roadways, Inc. - $.40 per square yard <br /> Allied Blacktop Company - 54 per square yard <br /> Bituminous Consulting - $.435 per square yard <br /> DeBace suggested that the bid be awarded to the low bidder, Bituminous <br /> Roadways. Bituminous Roadways is the company that ciid the sealcoating <br /> of City streets last year also. <br /> Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-5-179 - AWARDING THE BID FOR SEALCOATING <br /> OF CITY STREETS TO BITl1MIN0US ROADWAYS, INC. <br /> Page -13- <br /> <br />
