<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont.) <br /> May 14, 1980 <br /> Proposed Attorney Parks prepared for Council a second draft of the proposed <br /> Park Park Commission ordinance changing the number of Park Commission <br /> Commission members from 9 to 7 and providing that any compensation due the <br /> Ordinance Park Commission members would be set by Council resolution. <br /> #165 <br /> Council discussed that presently there is a rotating appointment <br /> process of Park Commission members of 3 - 3 - 1. Council had thought <br /> this should be changed to 2 - 2 - 3, but agreed that the 3 - 3 - 1 <br /> process would be satisfactory. <br /> Mr. Hanson introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption: <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 165 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2501 OF THE LITTLE <br /> CANADA CODE, SECTIONS 2501.010, 2501.020 AP!D 2501.070 BY <br /> REDUCING TFIE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE PARK COMMISSION <br /> FROM NINE MEMBERS TO SEVEN AND PROVIDING FOR COMPENSATION <br /> OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION, IF ANY, TO BE SET BY <br /> COUNCIL RESOLUTION <br /> The foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau. <br /> Ayes (5) Hanson, Nadeau, Fahey, Scalze, DeBace. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Ordinance declared adopted. <br /> This ordinance appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 111. <br /> Proposed The Attorney submitted to the Council a proposed Condominium Ordinance. <br /> Condominium The Attorney has compared this ordinance with the Uniform Condominium <br /> Ordinance Act. 90% of the language of the two is verbatim. <br /> Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-5-171 - REFERRING TFIE PROPOSED <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LITTLE CANADA CODE BY ADDING A NEW <br /> CHAPTER 2701. CONDOMINIUM CONVERSION TO THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION FOR THEIR REVIEW <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (5) Scalze, Fahey, DeBace, Nadeau, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (O). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 111. <br /> Meeting Mayor Hanson reported that there was a meeting at the Shoreview City <br /> Regarding Hall regarding the Condominium Act. Hanson stated that not much was <br /> Condominium accomplished at the meeting. It was the consensus of those present <br /> Act that the Condominium Act provides more benefit to the apartment <br /> owner contemplating conversion to condominiums than anyone else. <br /> Page -7- <br /> <br />
