MINUTES <br /> ity C until <br /> ~Cont.~ <br /> May 14, 1980 <br /> Proposed Attorney Parks informed the Council that he has reviewed about 1/2 of <br /> Zoning the Zoning Ordinance. Fle has not found any corrections he wished to <br /> Ordinance make up to this point. Parks will have the review of the Ordinance <br /> completed by the next meeting and will report to the Council at that <br /> time. <br /> Site For Mr. Parks reported that Mr. Schrier is not interested in selling the <br /> Senior City the entire piece of his property, but that he is willing to sell <br /> <br /> Citizen a part of the property. Parks stated that he has not been able to <br /> Housing get a price from Mr. Schrier on the property. Schrier states that he <br /> Development does not know how much the property is worth and will have to study <br /> the property. <br /> Councilwoman Scalze stated that the Council is up against an August <br /> deadline for a grant and needs to get a price on the property from Mr. <br /> Schrier. <br /> Councilman Nadeau suggested that the Council consider the LaMay property <br /> on Jackson and Little Canada Road. Councilman Fahey determined that the <br /> LaMay property is less than 1/2 acre and would not be large enough for <br /> a senior citizen housing development. <br /> P~ayor Hanson informed the Council that he has received a ca 11 from a <br /> development company that puts together developments of low income housing <br /> and developments of senior citizen housing. Hanson stated that he asked <br /> the company to send him a letter. <br /> Councilman Fahey stated that the City should determine what portion of <br /> the Schrier property they want and should also determine what type of <br /> development would fit the whole of the Schrier property. <br /> Councilman Fahey suggested that the Council hold a special meeting with <br /> Mr. Schrier to discuss the situation. The Attorney stated that 'the <br /> City could probably save a lot of time by doing this. <br /> Councilman Nadeau stated that he was opposed to this. <br /> P1rs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 80-5-173 - CALLING A SPECIAL MEETING FOR <br /> WEDNESDAY, MAY 28, 1980 AT 7:30 P.M. TO DISCUSS WITH MR. <br /> SCHRIER THE POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF SOME OF HIS PROPERTY <br /> FOR A SITE FORA SENIOR CITIZEN FIOUSING DEVELOPMENT, <br /> PROVIDED THAT MP.. SCHRIER IS AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br /> Ayes (4) Scalze, Fahey, Hanson, DeBace. <br /> Nayes (1) Nadeau. <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 6, Page 112_. <br /> Page -9- <br /> <br />
